Over 30 years in the ready-meal industry
FoodPro (Manufacturing) Ltd makes frozen ready meals and desserts at an 80,000 sq ft production facility on Chapel Lane, Wigan, in Greater Manchester.
We offer a multicultural menu of traditional British, Indian, Italian and Chinese dishes, plus classic desserts, made with beef, chicken, pork, lamb, turkey and fish. Every dish can be made hand-crafted or on fully automated lines.
Investment in our production site has always been a priority. It has given us a consistency of product and a production capacity our customers rely on, and a Grade A BRC Global Standard accreditation.
Products we make are used by many of the UK's biggest retailers and brands, including ASDA, Iceland, Lidl, Aldi, NISA, P&H and Birds Eye.

FoodPro joins Browns Food Group, the group's first expansion into ready meals.

FoodPro moves to a new, larger state-of-the-art site, increasing output and efficiency substantially.

FoodPro named Best Chilled Food Supplier 2016 at the Food Awards England.

Browns Food Group receives a GroceryAid Gold Award.

80,000 sq ft on Chapel Lane, Wigan
Our facility in Wigan, Greater Manchester, brings our development kitchen, packaging and production together on one site, with storage and transport from within Browns Food Group.
We're also a growing local employer, and in 2025 we planned to grow site headcount by 20%, with further expansion to follow.
To be part of the solution, not the pollution
Moving to shrink wrap took 96 trucks a year off the roads. Site waste produced 47,217 kWh of energy through anaerobic digestion, saving 80.44 tonnes of CO2. A new cook and cool system will end single-use plastic bags on site.
