Site waste management: food for thought

A crumpled green paper recycling symbol drawn as a light bulb

Site waste produced 47,217 kWh of energy through anaerobic digestion, saving 80.44 tonnes of CO2.

As a business we are constantly re-thinking and developing our corporate social responsibility policies.

By following a ‘mindful consumption’ mindset we aim to get a balance between production and caring for the planet. We will continue to try to reduce consumption of energy and materials, recycling in a bid to recover energy and materials.

The story so far

Site waste produced 47,217.06 kWh (kilowatt hours) of energy through the anaerobic digestion process, saving 80.44 tonnes of CO2:

  • 41.97 tonnes of CO2 saved by diversion from landfill
  • 38.47 tonnes of CO2 displaced by energy which otherwise would have been created from fossil fuels

Our aim: ‘to be part of the solution and not the pollution’
